Custom Service Project Policy

Last updated: August 27, 2026

This policy applies to custom and professional DAL services, including branding, website development, business startup support, business development, custom business documents, and other project-based work. A signed service agreement or scope of work may add or replace terms for a specific project.

Project Acceptance and Start

Submitting an inquiry does not guarantee project acceptance. Work begins only after DAL confirms the scope and receives all required items, which may include a signed agreement, required payment or deposit, completed intake, access credentials provided through an appropriate method, and client content or materials.

Project Scope

Only work described in the accepted proposal, package, or scope of work is included. Requests outside that scope require written approval and may require a revised timeline, new quote, or additional fee.

Client Responsibilities

Clients must provide accurate information, timely feedback, materials, content, approvals, and access needed for the project. Clients are responsible for confirming that submitted materials may lawfully be used.

Client Delays

Project timelines depend on timely client participation. Delayed information, materials, access, feedback, or approvals may pause the project and move estimated completion dates. Extended inactivity may require rescheduling or reactivation under the applicable agreement.

Revisions

Only revision rounds specifically included in the purchased package or agreement are covered. Additional revisions, changes to previously approved work, or new requests may require an additional fee and timeline adjustment.

Payments

Payment requirements are disclosed before work begins or in the applicable agreement. No universal deposit percentage applies to every DAL project. Completed work, reserved time, approved milestones, and non-refundable third-party costs may remain payable if a project is canceled.

Third-Party Fees and Accounts

Unless specifically included, government filing fees, domains, hosting, platform subscriptions, premium themes, applications, printing, advertising, stock assets, licenses, payment-processing costs, and other third-party expenses are separate. Clients should retain ownership and control of their own accounts when practical.

Approvals and Final Delivery

Clients are responsible for reviewing proofs, drafts, links, spelling, business information, and functionality before approval. Final files, transfers, launches, or deliverables are released according to the payment and acceptance terms in the applicable agreement.

Intellectual Property

Ownership and usage rights are defined by the purchased service or agreement. DAL retains ownership of pre-existing tools, methods, templates, processes, and materials not expressly transferred. Third-party assets remain subject to their original licenses.

No Guarantee of Results

DAL does not guarantee revenue, profit, funding, approval, customer growth, search-engine ranking, market performance, or other specific outcomes.

Confidential and Sensitive Information

Do not send Social Security numbers, identification documents, banking credentials, tax files, passwords, or other sensitive records through ordinary website or email forms. DAL will identify an appropriate process when sensitive information is legitimately required.
